Description:
Whether we do it by portraying characters on streams, designing adventures, balancing creature mechanics, or even clarifying the language of intent in an edit we all have one thing in common: We are telling a story. This is something we do day in and day out. It”s written in our DNA. So why is it so hard to tell our own?
Connecting in a professional meet and greet or other network setting can feel gross. Truly. It’s a weirdly transactional setting where both parties are trying to suss out if they can get anything from the other. But what’s more important is making a genuine connection with the person across the table. How do you do that? Well… by actually being genuine.
This workshop will take some of the lessons from the Pitching You panel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de5n8LO0pTA) and help them apply directly to your personal pitch/bio. You will work with me, or handpicked industry luminaries to refine your self-pitch so that you may go out into the world/networking events and confidently tell your story.
Fair warning. This workshop involves pre-con homework. If you can’t get it done before the con, the workshop will be of approximately 0 use to you.
