Description:
The antique city ward of Manz Marmur has been evacuated and declared an “exclusion zone” due to the mysterious phenomenon known as EAGER FESTIVAL. No one knows exactly what lays at the heart, but an urban legend holds that the power to grant one’s heart’s desire lays at the center of it. You are one such believer, driven by an obsessive wish that you thought you would be willing to do anything to achieve. Tonight’s festivities will test exactly that.
Midnight Harvest is a GMless collaborative storytelling game for 3-6 people. Set in a retro modernist setting in the tropical city of Marepol, it is inspired by The Zone RPG, horror manga, the game Paranormasight, and the “death game” genre. Each of us will play a “Harvester”, someone granted the ability to kill by a supernatural Grudge, but only if their victims fulfill the certain arbitrary conditions of their hex. Over the course of a single night, they will have to match wits and either evade or destroy each other, with the last survivor said to be granted a Wish that can change reality forever.
Using a Tarot deck instead of dice, Midnight Harvest uses poker-inspired mechanics to replicate the feeling of a deadly logic game puzzle. Much like The Zone, this is a game we play to lose, and those who die to their fellow Harvesters get to decide the true fate of the survivor(s) at the end.
