Description:
Horror films, literature, and video games can scare us senseless, but TTRPGs struggle with the same exhilarating thrills and genuine chills. How do TTRPGs fall short of the genre in delivering true fear?
Rae Nedjadi and Joshua Hittie have opposite takes and are ready to engage in an open conversation with folks on the matter. We’ll discuss the possibilities of horror in TTRPGs and their potential pitfalls. We’ll explore both the genre and the medium with a focus on structure and mechanics. Where do they align beautifully? What cannot help but fall apart tragically?
