Thanks to the internet, it has been easier and easier to connect with people and players all over the globe. In the last few years especially, the flood of online content has made more games and players more available to each other.

In this panel, Anjali Bhimani will talk with moderator Madigan Hunt about making characters and NPCs that express the human condition in this technological climate-specifically highlighting character bleed, parasocial relationships, online presence, and creative inclusion.

Come as you are. There is room for everyone. We may stray from some of the above content depending on people’s needs. My goal is to be open to and answer questions that people might be afraid to ask in public.

Panelists

Anjali Bhimani (she/her) is an award-winning actress who can currently be seen as Ruby in Ms. Marvel on Disney+ and is also well known in the gaming community as Rampart in Apex Legends, Symmetra in Overwatch, the noble Fy’ra Rai on Exandria Unlimited and the proud and feisty Miriam on UnDeadwood, both by Critical Role Studios, as well as many more games and other TTRPG performances. She is the creator of the I Am Fun Size series on YouTube and author of I Am Fun Size, and So Are You (to be released in Fall 2022) created to help people find the fullest lives they can through life’s challenges. Madigan Hunt (she/her) is a dedicated professional in the tabletop gaming industry, known for her passionate storytelling. She founded a successful actual play channel, fully funded on Kickstarter, where she serves as Game Master and Creative Director. She is also the Head of Production at Bad Auntie Gaming, and with previous experience at Wizards of the Coast, Madigan brings a wealth of industry knowledge to her work. She is deeply committed to creating captivating stories while exploring the intersections of narrative and play within the tabletop gaming community.
