Description:

Theoretical safety tools are often discussed in relationship to consent and gaming, but sometimes in practice, they can feel a bit clumsy, especially when we ourselves are still learning where our lines are. How can we design games so that consent culture is woven into the fabric of play? What ways can we take care of our players (and ourselves) before, during, and after the game is done? How can we make it feel easier and more comfortable to play an X card? Kitty Stryker, author of “Ask Yourself: The Consent Culture Workbook” and regular Big Bad Con attendee, will host a panel seeking to explore these questions and more with game designers, stewards, and players. Come with your own questions!
