Description:

Paris in the 17th century, the city is full of intrigues. Servants of the King from the court, henchmen of the Cardinal, the Queen and her allies — the religious wars are not fully extinguished, and every other country have their spies interfering in the realm. You will be playing nobles, spadassins or musketeers in the turmoil: agents of a grey eminence, investigating to counter conspiracies and to keep the peace.

The system is light, and oriented for swashbuckling actions, you will have sword duels, pursuits and flamboyant confrontations.

Inspirations: Dumas’ Three Musketeers, Errol Flynn’s cinematography, Scaramouche, 7th Sea, Les Lames du Cardinal.

Each year, I bring to BBC one RPG from France, as a way to show their creations and the style of the games. Mordiou is a recent game, published in 2016 by John Grumpf. This prolific author participates in many projects and publishes his own small games on Lulu.com.
