Description:
You’ve been played with, cherished, battered, and fixed. But now your owner is growing up and has different things on their mind than playing with childish toys. You don’t understand what’s happening. Why is their body changing, their voice different? Why don’t they have time for you anymore? What will you do when your purpose in life is gone?
This will follow a group of toys, chosen by the players, who are confronting their owner starting to move on. None of them have seen a person grow up before, and it’s all a mystery about what’s happening. Think Toy Story, but without the toys all understanding so much about humans. Humans are a strange, mysterious thing that never entirely make sense, and change in ways you never do. And now you face the biggest change of all. Can we remind our human, or should we find someone else before we’re locked away in the attic forever? Should we hide before whatever is happening to them happens to us? Do we even need a human to be happy?
Interpersonal drama around what to do when nothing makes sense and the person you love most no longer has time for you.
This game is run using a simplified version of DramaSystem, the game engine from Hillfolk (Pelgrane Press).

Actually, thinking about it more.. If you have an idea of what you’d like to play, and it’s currently available for $10-$20ish, mention here or send to jonrober at eyrie dot org. I’m going to grab a few NPC figures to donate somewhere after the con, and can add yours to the order and cover the cost if I’m donating.
I should have thought of that earlier for the actual event description where I knew people would see. Oops.
By the way, if you know what toy you would want to be, feel free to bring it for setting and visuals!
