Description:

In this game, we find out what would happen if The Avengers were actually heroes in Ancient Greece, taking on challenges that contemporary mythology attributes to other heroes. Choose from Captain Attica, Starkos the Bronze, The Gray Goliath, Black Widow, Hawk-eyed Odysseus/Penelope or Bronte, Goddess of Thunder. Choose a playbook at the table and fill in the details as you desire. Together, you will be the Agents of Aegis, the Mightiest Heroes of the Ancient World.

Every seven years, King Minos of Crete demands that seven citizens of Athens enter the Labyrinth and sacrifice themselves to the Minotaur. Athens once refused to send tribute many years ago, and Poseidon struck the city with an earthquake that nearly toppled the Parthenon. The King justifies the sacrifices as compensation for the murder of his beloved son in Athens many years ago. However, many Minoans question why the King continues to demand the sacrifices every year. The most vocal opponent to the sacrifices is the King’s own daughter, Princess Ariadne. Even so, the King’s rule is secure and no mortal force in Hellas has the strength to oppose Crete’s military might. You have volunteered to pose as an ordinary mortal and join the sacrifices this year, hoping to find a way to free Athens from the King’s tyrannical demands. Perhaps you will find support in the city of Knossos, where you will attend a celebration in your honor before entering the Labyrinth.
