Description:
Who has a girl become? Play archetypes of the Fates influencing the life of a single girl, anchoring flashbacks around found objects. Begin at her funeral, end with her joining an archetype herself.
A LARP-ish game that can explore ideas about the influences of societal pressures, history, and one’s community, especially at a young age. The game is intended to be played while walking through a museum, art gallery, park, or other visually-rich space where scenes can be held around a found object for inspiration. All players are members of a Chorus who direct scenes, enact NPCs, speak or act on behalf of the girl, and give commentary about the scene to the “audience”.
Run by co-designer Darcy Ross, An Empty Page is still in playtesting but is a complete game, so your feedback will be immensely welcome!
We will leave about 20 minutes at the end for a debrief and feedback session.
Accessibility Note: Depending on participant comfort and gaming space, we will either take a slow, leisurely wheelchair-accessible walk as part of the game, or stay stationary in the room and examine different objects.
