Description:
“You’ve heard of this place, but it never seemed like you’d actually find yourself here. Where the strong and weak alike go when the past is blocking them from thriving in the present…”
Children of Stone is an exploration of resilience, and transformation, post-traumatic growth, and spiritual healing through fictional characters in a fantasy world created at the table. When we live through something that we cannot let go, what kinds of barriers do we put up to protect ourselves? What stories do we tell? How do they change as we tell them, how do we heal as they change?
Players will collaboratively devise a fantasy world and characters that take different perspectives on a shared event. This game engages with the long-lasting effects of trauma, but players are advised not to use this as a session to explore personal traumas; rather, it is about experiencing the challenges of and potential for growth and healing through another’s eyes.
