Description:

Here Is My Power Button is a game about humans interacting with AI, and exploring companionship and identity together, designed by Brodie Atwater.

Two of us will facilitate this game, and play the graduate student technicians running this research study.

Half of you will play humans, the other half will play AIs.

Human players will choose identities from pre-existing character backgrounds BUT… AIs will develop unique identities through interacting with their human companions.

If humans become dissatisfied with their AI companion’s identity, they can reset their AI.

We will start with a workshop to warm up and teach the mechanics, then we will play 10 minute scenes alternating between scenes where all the humans and AIs will be separated, with humans grouped together in one room, and AIs grouped together in another room, and scenes with humans and AIs paired up one on one. After each one on one scene, there will be a one week passage of time in play before the next group meeting.

We will then end with everyone debriefing together.
