Amidst Endless Quiet

A ship is travelling the millennia-long journey across the stars, carrying priceless things so valuable that they are worth the travel time. Among the art, and writing, and artifacts, are five living humans. Each is special and holds special and unique value to civilization.

Against all odds, disaster has struck, and the ship is breaking down. This is unthinkably unlikely, and the lifeboat on the ship only has room for a single person. The ship’s AI has a limited time to scan through its understanding of the passengers, recall their interactions, and look up their dreams from their long cryo-sleep journey, and then it must choose who has a chance to live on.
