Description:

This is a game where players come together to write an epic history. Rather than going from beginning to end, though, or even from end to beginning, they actually go from broad to narrow. You start with nothing but the Big Picture of everything, then narrow your collective perspective more and more to bring long-lasting periods, important events, and finally real-time (role-played) interactions into focus. Hence the name, Microscope.

Nothing is there to restrict the setting of your world. Will we end up watching a distant space colony conquer a galactic empire of its own, then collapse into chaos? Deciding the consequences of magic spreading through Victorian England? Creating a fantasy world ruled entirely by talking cats? Only one way to find out!
