Description:

This is a mechanics-light LARP about a child and the monsters that live under their bed. During the day, those monsters inhabit the child’s stuffed animals, and listen to the child talk about their life. At night, those monsters come out and scare the child, uncovering their fears.

Monsters Under the Bed is lighthearted at times and intense at times, exploring childhood fears in a very real way. Players should come ready to feel joy, sadness, and fear, and to remember what it is like to be a child with a monster living under their bed. The GM will provide safety mechanics to ensure that players are comfortable being vulnerable and to help them escape if things get too intense.

The game centers periods of structured improvisation; players in the past have said that they feel comfortable improvising in the game even if they feel less comfortable with improv generally.
