A perfectly normal couple have just moved into a nice suburban neighborhood, so they did the perfectly normal thing and invited all their nice suburban neighbours over for dinner. How nice!
Fortunately, all of the party attendees are pleasant and perfectly normal. Nobody is going to cause a fuss, air dirty laundry, show up uninvited, eat anyone’s face, get drunk, or steal silverware. Could you imagine the awful hijinks if the attendees weren’t all perfectly normal, pleasant, reasonable people?
Perfectly Normal Dinner Party is a comedic larp by Dymphna C and Dave Leaman about social expectations, culture clash and hidden agendas. No, forget that bit about hidden agendas; there’s definitely none of that.

Hi! What could be more perfectly normal than for there to be young in proximity to adults? That’s a thing people do! Best to bring evidence that you are a legitimate member of normal society in the form of a baby that we all agree to assume is your own offspring.
In all seriousness, I think having a baby at this larp would work really well. Most of the available characters would be well-suited to having a child, so there’s no problem there. And some of the characters would likely have very amusing interactions with them. There’s not a whole lot of physical activity required in this game, and moving around at whatever pace suits the lil one should work just fine. As long as the kid is okay with being around a bunch of animated adults, I say bring them along. And we can definitely have the players moderate volume or whatever may be necessary.
