Description:
Almost unknown is the Xeno-Coven, a loose confederation of ultra-powerful, Chaotic warlocks and sorcerers, whose aspirations typically involve personal conquest of the multiverse, subjugation of its spheres to one or more Chaos-gods or total, apocalyptic destruction. The Xeno-Coven convenes itself in “Shadow-Meet” conventions to hammer out agreements that prevent its members from working too greatly at cross-purposes. These meetings require strong leadership, as rules and order are anathema to these great-and-terrible autarchs of Chaos. Leadership of the Shadow-Meet is determined by a gladiatorial contest amongst teams of warriors, one team fielded by each coven-wizard who covets the Proctorship. The time of the Xth Shadow-Meet draws near.
Four of the coven seek the Proctorship: Vellok the Veil-Piercer, Amoebus: Protomancer Prime, Master Technomancer Octopointe Nano and Ahken-Am-Set, Scion of the Seventh Ritual of: “Death, The Devourer.” Akhen-Am-Set greatly desires the Proctorship of the upcoming Shadow-Meet. And word of the PCs prowess has reached her ears – she wants the PCs to be her team of gladiators. The accords of the contest require that teams must be composed of warriors produced by the magics of the wizard seeking the Proctorship. Since Akhen-Am-Set is a necromancer, her team must be comprised of the un-dead. Thus, to fight for her, the PCs will have to agree to being slain and then raised as powerful un-dead called “ento-morlocks”: insect-ghoul hybrids. Ahken-Am-Set pledges great rewards to the PCs if they fight and greater rewards yet if they win, but can the PCs prevail over the monstrous fey creatures, grotesque slimes and alien battle ‘bots?
