Description:
Toil and trouble.
Our realm is not easy for anyone. Whether Elf, Dwarf, or Mankind, life here can be arduous and long. There are those that adventure and plunder, and there are others who simply try to survive to the next season.
Magic pervades our lands like a sickness and bards sell false hopes in legends that will never be fulfilled. There are no such things as magic cows or hidden kings. Save your beans for planting.
“The Gods Will Not Save You” is a collaborative RPG set in a stereotypical fantasy world. You’ll be playing your standard type of D&D-style characters; warrior, thief, wizard, etc. What sets this game apart is that the focus is not on adventuring or dungeon-delving, but on living a day-to-day life in this world, where your actions and the actions of others have real consequences.
The game is played in chapters, inspired (but not constrained) by Tolkien. We will be creating the setting as we play, with a tight spotlight on each character. It is a new system in playtest!
