Description:

We have no idea how long it’s been since the cataclysm.

Once, we lived at the peak of an era of unbridled human Radiance. Then, everything came crashing down. The cataclysm tore down our cities, broke our machines, and rearranged the very continents beneath our feet. The societies of old Earth are gone. This is a new world, littered with the wreckage of what came before and run through with a strange new physics that feels almost like magic.

The world is littered with ancient machines running haywire, strange and exotic new life forms, and petty tyrants big and small vying for power. But for once we have a chance here: a chance, for once, to build something good, something better than all the human flaws and oppressive structures of the old world. And this is how we do it.

Songs for the Dusk is a Forged in the Dark roleplaying game about brave and compassionate adventurers called striders trying to build a better future in the ruins of a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy world. This world is filled with ancient mysteries, daring rescues, and dramatic escapes. You’ll get caught up in high-tech skirmishes, try to understand strange new forces, look out at steel ruins framed by the pastel twilight, and find new experiences around every corner.

We play to find out if your future—that bright, hopeful, fragile future you’re trying to build together—has the space to take root amidst the teeming threats of factions big and small warring for power, ravenous empires on the hunt for more land to devour, and your own mortal foibles and quirks.

Songs for the Dusk is still in development (check it out), and also this is my first time GMing at a con! 😀 No knowledge of Songs for the Dusk or Forged in the Dark games is required.
