tremulus is a storytelling game of Lovecraftian horror where you take on the role of a person who has been destined to live an interesting life, one touched by blood and bile, dark revelations, and horrible sacrifice. The weight of the world is upon your shoulders as you strive to drive back the darkness threatening to drown it out.
“No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality; even larks are supposed, by some, to dream. Somerford Hall, not sane, stood by itself against its hills, holding darkness within; it had stood so for 300 years and might stand for 300 more. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut; silence lay steadily against the wood and Somerford Hall, and whatever walked there, walked alone.”
