Description:
Exciting new developments in your area of academic inquiry have spawned an entire new subfield! As the catty academics breaking the first ground in this hot new area of study, you’ll invent the words that shape everyone’s thoughts of these weighty matters, while shielding your true intentions from your enemies (the administration, funding agencies, the quantitative upstarts, unwashed undergraduates…). And (as with any game of Dialect) we’ll see how our words develop as we fade into obscurity.
General area of inquiry to be decided at the table (e.g., mathematics, philosophy, comparative grokking, or mana conservation in green/red sorcery). The choice is ours!

Heads up: the terrace seems to be on the send floor (not the fifth floor), right by the elevator bank, overlooking the lobby.
Second floor… Dan you auto compete!
I’m super excited for this! I’ve wanted to play in a game of Dialect for years now!
I’m fine with a baby at the table. Excited for this game.
Thanks! Me too!
Hey, just a quick question – I have a baby (3 months at the time of BBC) who is super chill. I’ve taken her to Pacificon, and played several RPGs with her, and she basically just sleeps or stares at the lights unless she wants to eat or needs to be changed (both of which are fairly non-intrusive activities). Would you be open to me playing with her? If not, I understand, no worries.
Sure thing. We can discuss particulars a bit before we dive into the game. Feel free to suggest anything that might help on your end; eg, we can easily do a few shorter breaks instead of a longer central break.
Wonderful, thank you so much!
