A larp about ambition, sacrifice, found family, and k-pop. Written by Clio Yun-su Davis
An all-male Korean music group deals with personal and interpersonal stress centered around a music festival.
The LARP includes the Author’s “Notes on Playing a Korean If You Are Not Korean”, which will be discussed before the LARP.
Structure: Players will receive characters that are 100-200 words, and expand on their characters and develop relationships in workshopping. The LARP will be played in three acts: Driving to a music festival, scenes at the music festival, and the drive back. The second act will involve individual dice rolls to determine the level of personal success, and the players will act out scenes based on those roles. There will be a brief epilogue after the final act.
Content warnings: Emotional abuse, eating disorders, body shaming, depression, cannabis use.
