Description:

Your father slowly died of cancer. I’m so sorry. It must have been very difficult, for all of you. Your mother is grieving in her own way. Your father’s second wife cared for him until the end and was at home with him when he died.

You and your two siblings have arranged this time to come and view his body. However, upon his death, his body became a vast landscape. This is of course in a way upsetting and, in a way, fitting.

Nowhere else can you see him all at once; these windows provide the perfect vantage. An opportunity to recognize him in all his variation. Where will they put him after this? Somewhere beautiful. He can’t remain here, so arrangements will be made. This is your last chance to look at him, even so changed. Your last chance to, in a way, say goodbye.

This experience today about your relationship to your memories of your dad. Perhaps your relationship to those memories will shift as your siblings share their remembrances and opinions of him.

Each of the three siblings will be simultaneously portrayed by two or three players, so there is at least one other player portraying the same sibling that you are. Think of them as you. Maybe they will say or do something you regret, maybe their insights about your father will surprise you.
