Description:

Qwghlm is not exactly the bustling heart of the British homeland. The Welsh think of Qwghlmians as standoffish and insular. But as events mount toward [keyword clearance required], no corner of the Earth is safe from supernatural troubles of the most harrowing kind.

While there is a lot of dark, sarcastic humor implicit in Stross’s books, this game is meant to be played in character and mostly straight, so it’s pretty dark.

You certainly don’t have to be a mathematician, cryptographer, or IT person to read and enjoy the Laundry Files books, or to play and enjoy this game. That said, if you don’t have a feeling for why the universe of the Laundry Files is different from that of Lovecraftian horror, you might get less out of the story than I’d hope.
