Description:
You died. And with so much potential! You’ll be dearly missed, young soul. But leave the mourning to the living, you have no time to rest. You must trek through the dreadful dominions of the Hollow if you want to reach the Land of the Dead—the realm where your true rest lies. The road is fraught with perils, but don’t fret! You will make it, because you have the best guardian to guide you: a Xolo.
This rules-lite RPG is inspired by Dia de Muertos and the funerary beliefs of ancient Mexico. You’ll play Souls of the Dead trying to reach the afterlife with the help of magical dogs known as Xolos; which means that each player portrays two characters: a Soul and their Xolo guide. Come face the trials of the Dread Jaguar’s dominion and help us playtest this indie game! All (or none) experience levels welcome.
