All gods leave a trail of people like us in their wake. Our bones long ago became the stars you watch pass through the night sky; our skin still shifts and strains into the creatures they transformed us into on a whim; our eyes watch you live and die and live your mortal lives through the ages. Yet our triumphs, our traumas, and our names remain unknown and unsung. Every month in the waning moon, we gather to console each other with our own stories and carry the sacred words that frame our existence: “And that is why -”
In Origin Myths Anonymous, each player will embody one of various mythological and folkloric figures from global cultures of storytelling as they come together for their monthly support group. Play out the old grudges and desires you hold in under the thin veneer of group therapy while navigating the story of your identity. Everyone will receive a character sheet complete with a version of their myth, to read aloud in the final closing circle.
Explore a one-of-a-kind game and learn real world survival skills along the way! In this Trackers Earth LARP, rich interpersonal drama and myth intertwines with land magic, tracking knowledge, and herbalism. No prior knowledge of the world or skills is necessary. Character sheets, world background, mechanics, and everything else you need to know to play this custom-written standalone game will be covered in our pre-LARP workshop.
