Description:
The 1936 heat wave is one of the hottest our nation has ever seen. It’s a heat that’s made the Big Apple a city set to simmer. The City that Never Sleeps can’t get to bed: with the last dregs of the Depression still clinging on like a bad sickness, desperation, corruption, and depravity are seeping to the surface like oil from hot asphalt.
In the middle of this concrete hell, players will take on the roles of classic noir characters of their own design: haunted private dicks, sharp dame reporters, compromised beat cops with little left to lose. Murder, conspiracy, hot nights and hotter lead all await.
While the direction and content of the story will largely be dictated by the players at the table, the nature of the setting means adult themes like drugs, gambling, murder and prostitution will be acknowledged if not explicitly explored.
