Description:
For most High School Students, the second Monday in October is just a day off from school. But for the young mutants at the Xavier academy, it is “A chance to reflect on the effect of European exploration on the indigenous people of the Americas and the appropriateness of celebrating a figure like Christopher Columbus in the 21st century.” Or at least that’s what Professor Xavier says. Which means while you don’t have class on Monday, you do have a three page essay on the topic due Tuesday.
This game, set in the X-men universe, explores issues of minority identity, privilege, extremism, and general teenagerhood.
Trigger Warning: Bigotry/Predjudice, Terrorism

extreme novice. 1st time. I promise to do my best to keep up!
Prior experience running and playing Heroic variant, read Action, have read some Dramatic but not much.
Fairly experienced in Cortex+.
I ran Marvel Heroic once and plan to read Smallville before the con.
I’ve played…I think two games, ever, with Cortex, and I’m unsure if it was Cortex Plus.
Mike, do you know what the setting was?
Marvel Superheroes, Smallville, and Leverage were flavors of Cortex Plus. Serenity was the original cortex system, and I think they had a fantasy version of some sort.
For those signing up for this game, would you please post whether you’ve had any prior experience with the Cortex Plus System. I enthusiastically welcome those with all experience levels, but knowing this information will help me plan what sort of rules support I should have available during the game.
