It would be fun to play old characters however I do not favor the power gamers who do not have a developed character from an old campaign.How to run a game allowing auld lang syne and not new characters that are min maxed is the problem. Sorry I do not have an answer for you except perhaps requesting players to have a signed statement from their gm about the character.
There is nothing wrong with D&D. I’m just not interested in it.
