Description:

Epitaph is an intimate look at the life of someone who died and left a goal unfinished. We’ll explore the timeline of a departed person’s life to gain gradual insight into their world, their identity, and their history. Ultimately we’ll come to know, understand, and empathize with them in a deep, complex way.

Epitaph is GMless. It features a variable level of role-playing commitment: on your turn you can describe a moment in time, create and play a scene with others, or give a interactive monologue as one of the characters from the story. It is currently in beta playtesting.

The tone of the game tends to fall between bittersweet and tragic. If you’re looking for a unique experience that gets you inside the mind of a very ordinary person and leaves you feeling like you knew them, Epitaph may be the game for you!
