Description:

Seven years after the 1906 earthquake rocked the Bay Area in Northern California, the children of Napa, CA stopped sleeping. The small town was in a panic, the local constabulary were helpless, as were the town’s doctors. A great mystery requires great heroes. The children of Napa need the Young Centurions!

Young Centurions is a game that puts you in the shoes of a teenage pulp hero in 1913. All born on the same day, January 1, 1900, the Young Centurions come from all walks of life but are driven by the same things: curiosity, determination and adventure. They are explorers, scientists, wise-cracking newsies, and farmhands. They just want to solve mysteries and save the day.

    Hello everyone,

I’ve been tweaking some things for the adventure, and I’d like to give you a bit more context of the style of game that I’m thinking about. Since the characters are 13, we will be dealing with PG-13 themes, so nothing too dark, but it might be a little scary/suspenseful. I also imagine there will be moments of levity and shenanigans to balance things out. Something like a cross between Stranger Things and Scooby Doo.

I’ll be putting some basic pre-gens together (high concept, trouble, century stunt) and then we’ll be tightening up the characters at the beginning of the game, so a mix of pre-gen and created at the table.

I feel this will maximize our story time. If anyone has different ideas, I’d love to hear them and maybe we can reach a compromise or consensus.

    Thanks,
    Matt
